1734 United States Map
This hand colored map from 1734 shows many points of interest in 18th century North America. The map inset on the upper top row has a splendid view of the Gulf Coast. The title itself is topped with a satirical female personification of the Mississippi River pouring jewels and riches on to the investors of the infamous Mississippi Company bubble scheme.
The map, a reproduction of the original held by the Alabama Department of Archives and History, is printed on high quality 100 lb silk paper. The print is surrounded by a white border.
